Mountain House
Situated on a 10-acre parcel with scores of large oaks and sweeping views of the surrounding mountain ridgelines, this existing home has been radically re-envisioned to respond to its unique location. The project strips away heavy overhangs and increases glazing to maximize views and promote indoor-outdoor living. A few simple exterior massing changes drastically simplifies the overall building massing while highlighting the ridge-like roof forms that recall the surrounding landscape.
