Vista Verde Pool House

These clients wanted a new pool house that supports their active lifestyle and provides an enhanced experience for indoor / outdoor living and entertaining. Working with the natural features of the site, we developed these jewel box buildings that dissolve the barriers between inside and out. The private side of the building is partially nestled into the ground, creating easy access to the planted roof garden and deck. The entertaining side fully opens to the pool area and expansive San Francisco Bay views beyond, with facades that are nearly all glass and fully operable. Shade trellis elements visually tie together what is actually two separate buildings, and that language continues through the building ceilings.
