Tahoe Retreat

Serving as a mountain get-away for a young family in both summer and winter, the new home packs a large program into a relatively small footprint. The building and outdoor spaces are situated to maximize daylight in the winter while providing sufficient shade during the hot summer months. Large windows frame views out to the densely forested site, and the placement of dramatic transparent slices through the building enhance the sense of outdoor living.
